Sosialisasi Pembuatan Kompos dengan Metode Takakura di Madrasah Aliyah Al Kahfiyah Cabbeng, Kecematan Dua Boccoe Kabupaten Bone

Abstract

The problem of organic waste in the environment is increasing along with the increase in human activities. One solution that can be applied is the management of organic waste into compost. However, currently the culture of caring for the environment is getting lower, so this is the purpose of carrying out community service activities, namely to increase awareness of the younger generation regarding the importance of managing organic waste. This activity was carried out on students of MA Al Kahfiyah Cabbeng in the form of socialization and providing examples and methods of making compost in an environmentally friendly way using the Takakura method. The Takakura method was chosen because it is easy to apply, efficient, and does not require complex equipment. The results of the socialization showed that student participation in the socialization of composting was seen significantly, accompanied by their understanding of the importance of managing organic waste. In addition to providing solutions to the problem of organic waste, this activity also aims to instill sustainability values, such as waste reduction, environmental conservation, and empowerment. Thus, this activity is the first step to build a culture of caring for the environment among the younger generation, especially at MA Al Kahfiyah Cabbeng and create a greener and more sustainable school.
