Edukasi Pelajar MA Al Kahfiyah Kabupaten Bone Tentang Dampak Plastik dan Solusi Bioplastik Ramah Lingkungan

Abstract

MA Al Kahfiyah  is one of the schools located in Bone Regency that still often uses plastic. The problem faced is the lack of knowledge about the negative impact of plastic and the potential for environmentally friendly solutions such as bioplastics. The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness and increase knowledge about the impact of plastic and environmentally friendly bioplastic solutions. The presentation method used to describe in general the dangers of plastic to the environment and health as well as the introduction and benefits of environmentally friendly bioplastics. In addition, it remains interactive with students. The material presented was the impact of plastic and environmentally friendly bioplastic solutions. The results of this activity show that students have understood the concept of biodegradable and non-biodegradable plastics and are able to identify examples of each type of plastic using props non-biodegradable plastics and were able to identify examples of each type of plastic using props. In addition, they also understood the negative impacts of using conventional plastics and the importance of switching to more environmentally friendly alternatives. After the educational session, participants were able to answer quizzes well and provide arguments related to the material that had been presented. Thus, this activity succeeded in increasing students' awareness and understanding of the impact of plastics on the environment and the importance of applying bioplastic-based solutions in everyday life.
