Abstract

Complications of pregnancy and childbirth are one of the causes of the high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia. Complications during pregnancy can increase birth complications. Analysis of the situation of partners in Mattaropurae Village, Amali District, namely lack of knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy and the dangers of childbirth and lack of skills in carrying out early detection. The aim of this service is to increase knowledge and understanding of the danger signs of pregnancy in the first, second and third trimesters and the dangers of childbirth as well as increase public awareness about the importance of early detection. Method: This activity is divided into three stages, namely through counseling which displays Power Point and uses Lefleat which is distributed to participants as well as question and answer discussions. Results: In this Community Service activity, the results obtained before the counseling started were 6 people with sufficient knowledge and after the counseling was carried out, 20 participants with sufficient knowledge were marked by answering basic questions, follow-up questions and evaluations from the PkM team
