FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN DEPRESI PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS BANGGAE 1 MAJENE

Depression contributes the most to the health of the world's population, especially the elderly. The high prevalence of depression in the elderly is influenced by mental changes including depression in the elderly such as physical changes, general health, education level, hereditary faktors, environment, intelligence and memory levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the faktors associated with the incidence of depression in the elderly. The research design used was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 61 people from the elderly population in the Banggae I Majene Health Center, the sample determination was carried out by stratified random sampling. Based on the regression test, the multiple R value was obtained at 82.3%, which means that the strength of the faktors influencing the incidence of depression in the elderly is very strong. The adjusted R square value was 64.1%, which means that these faktors are determinants of the incidence of depression in the elderly and 35.9% is influenced by other faktors outside this study. A significant value of 0.001 <0.05 indicates that these faktors are related to the incidence of depression in the elderly. Overall, all faktors are related to the incidence of depression in the elderly in the working area of Banggae I Majene Health Center. This can be a reference that faktors such as age, gender, education, occupation, medical history and family support should be a concern for families in caring for the elderly at home
